Understory Florals is a specialty cut flower farm in beautiful Frankville, eastern Ontario. We're growing over 50 varieties of cut flowers you can find in bouquets and straight bunches at the Perth Farmers' Market and Smiths Falls Open Air Market weekly, as well as monthly at the Kingston Memorial Centre Farmers' Market.

The farm and business are run by us, Allie and Galen (hi!). We've been dabbling in farming for over a decade, and have finally made our dream of starting our own farm come true. Growing for climate and biodiversity, while cultivating beauty, are our north stars. Allie is the main grower, harvester, lawn mower, purchaser of seeds, and arranger of our flowers. If you’ve enjoyed a bouquet, it was Allie who made it. Galen is the main communicator, customer service rep, purchaser of equipment and supplies, bouquet model, and tech guy here.

We grow using environmentally-friendly practices, including using no chemical fertilizers or pesticides, using organic inputs, prioritizing perennial plants where possible, minimizing the use of fossil fuels, and more.
